Three of them with a Frosty and you can quickly circle and get to the artillery and then cycle charge. The Great Eagles are cheap and easily recruited at tier 3. It also can just hang out near your line and help buff. The Frost Phoenix is tanky and the aura helps the Great Eagles survive better in combat. If you team up a Frost Phoenix with a few Great Eagles you get an easy to use, low micro, high speed aerial assault team. So in the end it's totally dependent on your situation.
The catch with dragons is that they need time to do their damage unlike the FP that can drop it's bombs and get out. Since they are also a flying unit, it's also a good idea to just have them attack unprotected artillary or any ranged unit that can't melee for ****. I remember my moon dragon DECIMATING a unit of chosen.just wow. The stronger you go the better the stats, but also the bigger the upkeep and cost.ĭragons are used best for non-AL (Anti Large) armored infantry they're attacks are slow, but when they hit, they hit hard. They all do the same thing, but they rank up in stats. High elven Dragons have a better range of use. When you run out of bombs you can use it to melee against broken units, but don't try your luck with anything else.
The only thing you should be using them for is bombing melee infantry. They are very high management because they are just that squishy. Don't use them in melee against ANYTHING and keep them away from archers.
